I have a questions regarding updatevv command.

1. In order to use updatevv I must use setuseracl. There is no possibility to set ACL to the entire 3PAR VV’s when I use admin user to run updatevv using script?
2. When using updatevv in windows environment, what’s command/command sequence I need to dismount the volume and remount it again? Does sync and mounvol /d in enough?

1. You can use wildcard characters for vv name or pattern. If you use ‘*’ then the user will have updatevv privilege to all VV’s. You only need to set ACL one time, there is no need to run setuseracl in a script to run it repetitively.

setuseracl [options] <user_name> <operation> [<name_or_pattern>]...

2. Sync + mountvol is sufficient.
